City of Henrietta Convenience Center

The City is proud to serve our citizens through their convenience center that is opened every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.(4 p.m.-6 p.m. after fall daylight savings time), and Saturday's from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  This center takes non perishable solid waste that is too large to fit in roll-out containers, and solid waste in small enough volume to not warrant a trip to the nearest landfill.  The center is regulated by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and operates in accordance with state requirements.  In general the items we are allowed to take are as follow:

• Household non-perishable items such as- used furniture,
• large cardboard boxes,
•  white goods ( stoves, hot water heaters, other household appliances-excluding refrigerators.)  
• Brush, and tree trimmings,

Prohibited items are as follow:

•   Construction debris from large projects- should be taken to nearest appropriate landfill for disposal.
•   Hazardous, toxic, or special waste as designated by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, or the TCEQ.
• Other items including but not limited to: tires, batteries, dead animals, shingles, liquids, concrete, rock, barrels, hot ashes or burning material.
