If your pet is picked up by the City, the cost is $30.00 per pet for a 1st offense; $50.00 for the 2nd offense & $100.00 for the 3rd, plus a $5.00 charge per day for food. You must provide proof of rabies shot records and purchase a city pet tag before the animal will be released to you. City tags cost $1.00 for spayed & $3.00 for unspayed.
If you are needing an animal trap for such things as cats, skunks, possums, etc., there is a trap delivery agreement that must be signed when the trap is delivered. A trap will be lent for a maximum of 10 days. The City will not deliver traps on holidays, weekends, or before or after regular business hours. The City animal control officer position is part time only and during normal working hours.
The City of Henrietta provides animal control inside the City limits in order to maintain a safer environment for all the citizens and visitors of Henrietta. During normal business hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m. call City Hall at (940)538-4316 or call the Sheriff’s office at (940) 538-5611.
